We are a community that has adopted the slogan "Pride in Our Park" and it takes the efforts of every resident to accomplish that goal.  Take a moment to search out the types of volunteer positions that you might like to help with.    A general list below gives the job possibilities.  Thanks for caring.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?    HERE ARE SOME WAYS.

  • UNIT DIRECTORS  to act as the liaison between area neighbors and the Board of Directors to carry out problem solving of the Park. Also, a Unit Director oversees the distribution of The Kensington Park Newsletter                                                             

              

  • SECURITY PATROL PERSONS to act as security patrol observer during evening hours when most crimes may be committed.  A security patrol person or persons will use his own vehicle to drive through the Park and  be the eyes and ears while touring the Park to notify the Sheriff's Department of any unusual activity; and the time spent each month can be as little as two hours.  While on duty as a Security Patrol person you will be given a cell phone, special vehicle signs and also a $10.00 reimbursement for gasoline for your two hour shift.

              

COMMITTEE PERSONS  a group of residents that organizes and completes special tasks.  Committees may be active or inactive depending on the specific need of our community.  Some of these committees are as follows:

 

  • BEAUTIFICATION / LANDSCAPING COMMITTEE to help with maintenance and clean up projects at the entrances and other locations.

                

  • PUBLIC AFFAIRS to edit and publish the Kensington Park Newsletter, also function as liaison for Kensington Park functions.

                

  • TELEPHONE COMMITTEE to help with telephone calling to the residents of Kensington Park.  This may be at times of an emergency or just to inform residents regarding regarding Park issues. 

                

  • ACTIVITIES COMMITTEE to help organize and operate in the social functions of Kensington Park.  Some activities may be the Easter Egg Hunt, a craft bizarre or a Park barbeque.

     

  • WELCOME NEW RESIDENTS COMMITTEE to greet new residents  with welcome package and community information.

          

     

  • WEB SITE DESIGN COMMITTEE  to design and update Kensington Park Web site.
